ysmad Green Tip:
Drink tea instead of coffee and beer instead of apple juice ;-)
Now that's a fun one: drinking tea saves water. At least compared to coffee. While a cup of tea uses almost 8 gallons of water in the making, one cup of coffee uses almost 37 gallons. And instead of apple juice better choose beer - to save 30 gallons of water per glass! :)
That's according to an article in the magazine of Germany's "Agency for Civic Education" .
In any event - I guess tap water should get the top spot of our drinks menus. Is it fair to say a glass of water uses only around 1 glass of water to produce?
