Switch off the lights when you leave a room
Switch 'em off! Can't see when coming in our office's kitchen, and the lights seem on almost 24/7. Think of it at home, at work, when leaving the office. Don't worry about the myth that keeping lights on will save energy ("the power-up will use much more than what has been saved"). A small small truth to it, if at all. Just switch 'em off.
