Don't leave your car idling
That sounds easy. But think of ways to actually do so: avoid drive through's, avoid driving in rush hours if you can, don't park idling (at the grocery's parking lot: accept your car will cool down in winter and may heat up a bit in summer), scrape ice and enjoy wintertime :) instead of "defrosting" your car 20 minutes ahead.
That all not only saves some emissions, including CO2. It actually helps some acres of rainforest to persist, including their residents - in our desperate efforts to produce "green fuel" rainforests are being razed down to grow palm oil and soy beans for biofuels. Stop that absurdity!
