Don't use hotel soap, shampoo and lotions
Most people usually only use a small portion of it - especially of the plastic-foil packed soap. Even if the rests are not thrown away but are recycled (doubts?!), this is a waste of packaging and energy for producing. It's not too much effort on the other hand to pack in your own stuff from home in a more economic (and ecological) packaging, once you pack your bag anyways. That of course looks different these days if you have onboard luggage ...
