Recognize greenwash
Be sceptical about green product claims, certificates, image campaigns. Even car companies and the petroleum industry try to ride on the green wave, although there is hardly any environmentally good about burning gas (just some options are less bad). The other day I stumbled upon a site apparently of the beef industry, explaining reasons for deforestation of rainforests - all but meat production of course. Look up "greenwash" on wikipedia and visit "greenwashingindex.com"
