Wrap presents in old newspaper
OK, you don't necessarily want to do that on the next official business birthday dinner, unless you want to make a point. But there is little reason to buy and almost instantly tear and throw away glossy paper, e.g. for your little kid's presents. Another option for sure is reuse.
