Seeing the billions of profit made in the economy - for a big part taken out of nature - it's a shame there is not more returned. Compare the costs for protecting rainforests: 1 acre to buy in Costa Rica (protected long term by respective organizations) is around $800 (in 2008). You can contribute small scale, starting at $1.
