6.7 billion and counting
12/11/2008 -- 6.7 billion and counting
New gadgets on the homepage: a counter for Earth's population, plus some for the population's efforts to run down the same :) Before you ask: yes, these counters are 100% accurate and beyond all doubts*.
We are having a tiny little bit of hope that somebody considers buying an acre of rainforest as a Christmas gift - seeing the counter counting away on acres of irrevocably destroyed rainforest each minute.
