I finished reading the book "The world without us" of Alan Weisman - see homepage for link to its website. Besides the chapter about polymers, also the following are especially ... how do you say? ... "amazing" in a certain way: chapter 14 "Wings Without Us" and 15 "Hot Legacy". Read it to get the bird's view of life and some insight about the unsolved problems of nuclear power.
